Just Pack Up and Go
I applied for third shift stocking at Meijer tonight after work. And because they have one of those platforms (Workday) where you sort of apply once and can use that information towards additional applications, I also randomly applied for the Meat Cutting position out there. Not even really sure why, the hours wouldn't work out, but I guess I just wanted to get an interview so I can sharpen those skills. Not that getting to an interview will be easy by any stretch of the imagination. I have a 'pretty tight' schedule as it is, and by that I mean leaving the house when I'm not at work has to be a highly calculated event. I just can't up and leave.
Sometimes I would like to, just sort of pack my shit, tell Christina to get herself ready and just sort of take one of those big ass camper vans and drive around with the cats. When we ran out of gas we would pull over and start fresh from that very spot.
But then it's snap back to reality; "Get to bed, we got a long day ahead of us!" With strong waves of emotion that remind me that I am a flaming piece of shit for feeling that way. Selfish, unnecessary, and insanely cold.
